About SSMC
Strategic Security Management Consulting is a full service security consulting firm founded in 2017 and headquartered in Orlando, Florida. We evaluate and develop corporate, commercial, educational, and hospital and healthcare security programs for clients across the United States. Our practice is built around a simple conviction: security recommendations are only valuable if the organization can actually implement them.
SSMC takes a partnership approach to security and workplace violence prevention. We work alongside executive leadership, risk management, human resources, legal, clinical operations, and facilities — because effective protection is multi-disciplinary by nature. Our consultative philosophy favors clear findings, prioritized recommendations, and measured investment over one-size-fits-all templates.
Meet William Marcisz, JD CPP CHPA
William Marcisz is a nationally recognized Healthcare Security and Workplace Violence Consultant, Forensic Security Specialist, and Expert Witness with over 35 years of experience in security leadership, law, and public safety.
He has served in leadership roles within ASIS International and has been recognized by Security Magazine through the Security 500 program and with the Outstanding Security Performance Award (OSPA) in 2021. Since 2017 he has served as President and Chief Consultant at SSMC.
Prior to founding SSMC, William was Executive Director of Security, Safety and Emergency Management at AdventHealth Central Florida, where he directed protection programs across a large multi-campus healthcare system. Earlier in his career he practiced as an attorney at Monteith and Cahaya, P.A., giving him a working command of both the operational and legal dimensions of security liability.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Magna Cum Laude, from Western Connecticut State University.
