SSMC provides forensic security consulting and expert witness services to attorneys representing plaintiffs and defendants in matters where the adequacy of security is at issue. Engagements begin with an objective review of the record — incident reports, post orders, training and personnel files, camera and access control data, crime history, and applicable standards — before any opinion is formed.

William Marcisz brings a rare combination to this work: a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law together with decades spent building and running complex security programs, including as Executive Director of Security, Safety and Emergency Management for a major multi-campus healthcare system. He understands both how a security program is supposed to function and how it is examined in litigation.

He has provided independent peer review and expert witness testimony in cases across the country, and is retained for report writing, deposition, and trial testimony.
